Sorry, you're right. I knew it but it slipped my mind since 3.5795454545 MHz
was the figure I remembered from my days in television and was using in my
calculations.

I could go on at great length about the design of the PC's clock. Suffice it
to say that there must be a special place in hell waiting for the person
responsible for that atrocity. Right next to the guys who designed the Intel
8086 architecture and the slide-lock connectors on Ethernet transceiver
cables...
