Doug,
  are you running the 'stat' command on startup within NOS. If so,
thats whats causing the message. DOS5.0 is a non-starter for the 'stat'
commands file info. This is because the code hacks around the undocumented
bits of ms-dos to acquire the info it displays. I didn't write the code,
I just ported it over from another program. :-)
