asy problem : dtr and rts not up?

You might prefer to use the param command to set signals in your
autoexec.net file.  This seems simpler than using a dialer file or
trying to set dtr/rts externally.

param <interface> dtr <0|1>
param <interface> rts <0|1>

I actually agree with Bill on his re-coding of the control logic,  but it
does make backwards compatibility a problem (you need to bring the RI signal
into the PC if you haven't already done so).
