Hello All,
Here are a few notes: I changed the mailbox commands in my 2.0a release
(guessing you don't read a manual, i prepare up to date)
The C command is for connect again (and probably for the chatter-clatter
box Erwin provided me with) (This is otherwise called conference bridge)
(NOTE: it is not there yet.)
For a chat session use the O for operator.
The U command is upload again (was gone) and the M command shows Mboxusers.
(was U command)
On the wars of Full BBS support: NOS is Better!!! The mail structure is
layed down so YOU can get your mail by SMTP and POP. No more rabling
trough 2500 messages containing no more as BBS (Bulletin Board Shit)
(Oops , i did it again, sorry)
For others (minimalists:) set a few conditionals off in config.h and
you get a 200k version of NOS. No clients, no servers and no commands.
Just a multi tasker keeping your cpu busy....
My home setup: 7 pc types, 3 6809 types 3 68k types and 4 cpm systems.
One runs UNIX 386 for mail, dns etc.
One runs MSYS 24/day for the last 5 years, taking over from a x820 running
rli 11.9.
One runs NOS 24/day, one for development and the rest for testing various
modes against. This all keeps me busy when there are no good shows on TV.
(we have public tv so no good shows....) ( i made a connection from the
power meter to the airco: it drives it with ease...)
If you have a long wish list for NOS: Start coding or send it to Santa..
Regards, Gerard.
PS: Don't read the manual please, i love seeing those questions come by.
