ax.25 bridging/routing

OK, so Brian wants an ax.25 bridge ...

Linux has /proc/net/ax25_route

which gives a list of callsigns, interface and timestamp for packets.
currently only 'mheard' uses this to list the stations the machine has
heard. A bridge program could use this to forward packets etc. *but*
/proc/net/ax25_route is typically full of crap: 85% of the entries are
corrupted, probably due to collisions etc. Is this just a Linux buglet
or is there a way to ensure corrupt callsigns don't get into the
routing table? There's a Novell IPX bridging/routing program, that
might be a good starting point.
