   Hello Rob,

Well I don't know if a KISS only ROM will solve the problem.  I am using
several of the MFJ-1270's with KISS ONLY ROM's in the TNC, and I am also
seeing the same problem.  What is strange is that I have switched the ROM's
with the one that was in my original TNC-2 (from TAPR) and the problem
remained in the MFJ.  I now believe it is a problem in the MFJ design, but
haven't had any time to look at the diagrams (if I even have them).  With
both MFJ units showing the same problem, and the TAPR TNC-2 appearing to
work OK, I believe it is an MFJ problem.  If anybody has any ideas or
suggestins they would be most welcome...
